Jennifer Bordeaux

Director of Public Relations

Education is power! You may not have asked for a change like divorce, but I want to do my small part to ensure you don’t miss the future you deserve.
Jennifer Bordeaux

With an educational and professional background in juvenile delinquency, Jen’s focus has always been on family dynamics and encouraging healthy relationships.

Born in Iowa, but raised in Dunn, North Carolina, Jen Bordeaux considers herself a North Carolinian. She received her Bachelors in Criminal Justice from Appalachian State University and earned a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from East Carolina University.

Prior to focusing on family law, Jen worked with at-risk youth in the secure custody of the North Carolina Division of Juvenile Justice.  During her graduate studies and work with at-risk youth, she developed an interest in the cause and prevention of domestic violence, and how this has a multifaceted relationship effect. Following her stint as an adjunct instructor at East Carolina University, Jen completed the NC Paralegal Certificate Program at the University of North Carolina. After becoming a NC State Bar Certified Paralegal, she realized that her passion for educating and experience in family law can serve to empower those going through situations such as divorce and domestic violence to find resolution in change.

As the Director of Public Relations, one of her strongest beliefs is education is power! The more she can spread awareness about family law and help people understand that they are not alone when going through a divorce/custody battle/domestic violence, etc., the better. Whether it’s working with New Direction and their awesome legal teams, fostering connections for others, or giving back to the community she loves, Jen believes in supporting those in need and helping them take control of their situation. John F. Kennedy once said, “Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.” You may not have asked for certain changes, but Jen wants to do her small part to ensure you don’t miss the future you deserve!

In her free time, Jen tries to live an engaging and fulfilled life! She currently serves on the board of directors for SAFEchild, furthering their mission to eliminate child abuse and empower families. Jen also enjoys supporting her alma mater by serving on the Appalachian State Triangle Alumni Chapter board. She enjoys being a “dog mom” to her pups, Chance and Theo, traveling, listening to live music and spending quality time with loved ones. Carpe Diem!
