About

Born and raised in Wilson, North Carolina, Brittany Whaley’s interest in the legal field started at a young age as she listened to her father’s stories and experiences as a police officer. She moved to Raleigh in 2016 to attend North Carolina State University. Brittany originally joined the New Direction Family Law team in 2017 as an intern and transitioned into a legal assistant during her undergraduate studies. Brittany is currently a paralegal and her experience working in family law has affirmed her desire to pursue a career in the legal field. Her long-term goal is to become an attorney with a specific focus on children. From the small details and dates to preparing for trials, Brittany loves helping clients feel organized and confident during a very stressful time.

In her free time, Brittany enjoys spending time with friends, going to Wolfpack football games, being a dog mom to her pup Elle and participating in the latest Netflix-worthy binge.
