Amber King is a legal assistant at New Direction Family Law who is dedicated to helping families find strength and peace during difficult times. Born in Illinois, Amber moved to North Carolina during high school and has since made it her home. After 12 years in the customer service industry, she felt called to expand her role in serving the community and began her legal administrative journey in 2017 at a personal injury law firm in Durham, North Carolina. It was there that she fell in love with the legal industry, developing a deep interest in the detailed processes of legal procedures.
Amber’s transition to family law was driven by her desire to work closer to home and family, as well as to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. She has since focused on helping families navigate the complexities of divorce and other family law matters, providing experienced support and guidance. Her firm belief that everyone deserves happiness motivates her to play a role in helping clients find peace and strength during challenging times.
