Professional Background
Tyler Kaestner grew up in Ocala, Florida, before pursuing his undergraduate degree at Florida State University. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law, where he was actively involved in Trial Team, Moot Court, and Phi Alpha Delta, serving in a Justice leadership position. During law school, Tyler received the Best Oral Argument award in Moot Court and gained valuable courtroom experience through internships with the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the Honorable Judge Clifford in Montgomery County Family Court in Pennsylvania.
As a first-generation lawyer, Tyler brings a deep appreciation for the legal profession and the opportunities it provides to help people through difficult moments. His personal and professional experiences led him to family law, where he values the ability to work closely with clients and guide them through some of the most important transitions in their lives.
Approach to Clients
Tyler’s approach to family law is shaped in part by his own life experience. As a child of divorce, he understands first-hand how stressful and overwhelming family conflict can feel, especially when the outcome affects every part of daily life. That experience drives his commitment to helping clients feel informed, prepared, and supported as they work toward a fair and stable resolution.
Growing up with a younger brother on the Autism Spectrum, Tyler also takes great interest and sensitivity towards families with children with special needs, understanding that education and support from parents is crucial to the best interests of children with special needs.
He believes that no two families are the same, and each case requires thoughtful attention and a personalized strategy. Tyler focuses on clear communication, strong advocacy, and practical solutions, always working to give clients the tools they need to move forward with confidence.
Community and Perspective
Although originally from Florida, Tyler always felt a connection to North Carolina through family ties in Charlotte and Asheville and knew he wanted to build his career in the state. He is licensed to practice law in both Pennsylvania and North Carolina and is proud to serve families throughout the region.
Tyler values hard work, perseverance, and the opportunity to advocate for people who need a strong and steady voice during difficult times. He approaches each case with respect, thoughtfulness, and a genuine desire to help clients create a better path forward.
Outside the Office
Outside of work, Tyler enjoys staying active and spending time with his wife. The two enjoy traveling together, especially cruising, trying new restaurants, and relaxing with a good TV series. Tyler is a lifelong sports fan who enjoys playing, watching, and discussing sports whenever he can, and he has recently picked up pickleball as a favorite hobby. He also played the saxophone for many years and still enjoys music in his free time.
