Keeping Your Children “SAFE” (National Safe Day)

On June 4, 2013, 13-year-old Brooklynn Mae Mohler was playing at a friend’s house. Unbeknownst to Brooklynn, this friend had obtained her father’s gun from an unlocked kitchen cabinet. She pointed it at Brooklynn’s back, pulled the trigger, and fired a single bullet. This 13-year-old girl died senselessly as a result of this child’s access to an unsecured weapon.. To make sense of this horror, Brooklynn’s parents started the Brooklynn Mae Mohler Foundation (“Justice for Brooklynn”), which advocates for responsible gun ownership.
