Sunday, September 10 is National Grandparents Day Grandparents love their grandchildren and can be a wonderful source of wisdom and insight for our younger generations. Our country recognizes this. In August 1978, Jimmy Carter signed a proclamation that established National Grandparents Day on the Sunday following every Labor Day. President Carter elaborated that the day is “…to honor grandparents, to give grandparents an opportunity to show love for their children’s children, and to help children become aware of strength, information, and guidance older people can offer.” At New Direction Family Law, we celebrate loving grandparents and invite you to recognize National Grandparents Day by considering the following ideas. “to honor grandparents…” Tell your children about your parents.
