Adoption is a way to experience parenting, to expand your family, to share your love, and to offer a permanent home to a child who needs one. Since a proclamation issued by President Clinton in 1995, the country has recognized November as National Adoption Awareness Month. The purpose of this month is to raise awareness of adoption and the need for good adoptive families for the thousands of children waiting for their forever homes. This month also serves to honor adoptive families and to celebrate the people and agencies who help find permanent homes for children. Adoption: Types, Thoughts and Considerations

Adopting one child won’t change the world: but for that child, the world will change. –Unknown Adoption has changed my life.  My son was adopted at birth and in one moment my life was forever changed.  I know how fortunate I am to have the resources and opportunity to have this precious baby come in to my life and change my focus from me… to we.  Unfortunately, thousands of children are still waiting for their forever home.
